Absolutely beautifully, the mechanic did an excellent tune. Idles at 750 and because of my aggressive cam, she sounds like a race car. Also, unlike the last motor that couldn't squelch the tires, the 400 I built allows the car to do burnouts for days!

Got sprayed May 7th, I entered it in a show May 10th. This week I got my car back from the mechanics (2 days to tune the thing), finished my hood scoop bracket, reactivated my insurance and I've put about 70 miles on her since last Friday.

That's awesome! Is it still loud as hell? Did you do anything with the engine, or did the engine just need a tune up?

Still loud as hell, but it has legal mufflers now. The timing and carb needed to be dialed in for my aggressive cam. The factory parts and specs weren't enough for the engine. The only thing left to do is graphics and get the transmission tuned (tune it to my car, not the 90s Caprice it came out of)

What sort of transmission(not auto or manual, like what transmission is it)? Are you gonna put a video out of the idle, it has to sound nice and chunky.

Check my build page /tag/Emma for a short video of it idling in neutral (1000rpm, 250 higher than in gear) I'm going to post a video of the car driving the parking garage out by the dorms... The sound was amazing. It's a 700r4 auto trans.
